How to Troubleshoot Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 (MSIE9)

Microsoft's Knowledge Base (KB) Articles help support & troubleshoot many Internet Explorer 9 problems.
INSTALLATION / SETUP PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS:
Method 1:  Make sure minimum Operating System requirements are met
 
    • Windows Vista (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP 2) or later versions
    • Windows 7 (x86 and x64) or later versions
    • Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP 2) or later versions
    • Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 or later versions
Method 2: Try alternative Internet Explorer 9 installer
 
Method 3: KB2399238 - Make sure Internet Explorer 9 prerequisites are installed (Run & Complete All Microsoft Updates)
 
Method 4: Make sure installation of other updates or restart is not pending (Run & Complete All Microsoft Updates)
 
Method 5: Temporarily disable antispyware and antivirus software.
 

SOLUTION #2:  Upgrade to Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
 
 
 
GENERAL MSIE 9 PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS: 
SOLUTION?:  This issue occurs because protected mode has one separate IEUser.exe broker process. To work around this issue, start Internet Explorer 9 on the default desktop.
 
SOLUTION?:  NONE! While .WPAD and .PAC Automatic Configuration file types are still supported, the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) no longer supports customizing .INS, .JS, or .JVS file types.
SOLUTION?:  NONE!
 
SOLUTION?:  Many useful things to try!
 
SOLUTION?: Do not use "Content-Disposition: Attachment; filename=" HTTP header.
SOLUTION? Include the URL of the Web page that you want to save by using a script in the Trusted Zones list in Internet Explorer 9.
 
 
 
3RD PARTY PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS: 
KB969057 - How to fix the Cooliris add-on and Internet Explorer 9 incompatibility which causes Internet Explorer 9 to stop responding or crash.
SOLUTION?: Disable the add-on, or update Cooliris.
 
KB968136 - Incompatibility issues with Google Toolbar and Internet Explorer 9 will cause Internet Explorer 9 to stop responding or crash.
SOLUTION?: Disable the add-on, or update the Google Toolbar.
 
 
SOLUTION?: Disable the add-on, or update HP's Smart Web Printing.
 
SOLUTION?: Disable the add-on, or update the PDFCreator Toolbar. 
 
SOLUTION?: Disable the add-on, or update to Roxio's Burn (formally DLA)
 
KB2398082 - You experiences slow performance in Internet Explorer 9 (however, this issue does not occur if you view the webpage by using an earlier version of Internet Explorer, or when browsing some webpages with more complex graphics.) 
SOLUTION?:  Update to a video card that supports GPU hardware acceleration.
